Mitch @ VeryBestPages
In 1981, Mitch met his late–wife Jayne, while
he was underemployed as a Lock Box Product Specialist at a bank,
writing short stories, waiting for a phone to ring. Jayne,
who was overemployed, as a surgical resident, said, “I won’t
marry you, unless you get a job where you actually do something.”
Mitch loved Jayne, so he quit the bank, and enrolled in NYU’s 12 week, Intensive Programming Course, to learn COBOL programming. After five weeks, he learned enough to realize that he wanted to program microcomputers, AKA personal computers, not mainframes. Mitch left NYU, and purchased an Osborne I, the world’s first portable computer.
